When having a Civil or Humanist Ceremony there is more freedom to choose music that is personal to you both, though there still may be restrictions on Religious hymns, or songs that have any reference to God. It is always advised to consult your Celebrant or Solemniser before choosing your music.

Ceremony structure can vary slightly depending on type of ceremony and individual touches added. Music placement is usually included during the ceremony at the following stages:

1.Entrance/2. After the Second Reading/3.Lighting of the Unity Candle(a short piece)/4.Signing of the Register/5.Recession.  Here are some suggestions for your Civil or Humanist Ceremony.
